Can a non-Lagos club register for Lagos Liga?

Yes. Whilst the league will be hosted in Lagos, clubs outside of Lagos and indeed outside of Nigeria are free to register and play in the league.
Who can play in the league?

Everyone can play, including retired footballers. Only current professional footballers are exempted. Clubs that use professional footballers will lose their slot without a refund. If this is discovered after they win the tournament, they will be made to refund the prizemoney which will be shared amongst the three other semi-finalists at a rate of 50 per cent for the second placed team and 25 per cent each for the losing semi-finalists.
Can pre-existing clubs wear their jersey in the league?

No. Only jerseys provided by Lagos Liga will be won by clubs participating in the league
Clubs that register at Level 1 qualify for the preliminary stages. It’s a knock-out stage, so they are guaranteed only one game. They are playing to qualify for the group stage.
Clubs that register for Level 2 automatically qualify to the group stage. They are guaranteed at least 3 games.
How can I select players if I am starting a new club for the league?

You can check the @LagosLiga page on Twitter/X. Prospective players are pitching to be picked. You can also discuss with your friends who may know good footballers.

Yes. You can own a club and be the coach.
Can I be owner, coach and player?

Yes, you can be all three.
What is the playing format?

It is 7-aside. 5 reserve players. Only 12 players can be registered per team.
Can a player play for two clubs?

Clubs in Level 2 can take players from Level 1 clubs that got knocked out. Players cannot move from one club to another once the group stage starts.
When does registration close?

Registration for Level 1 closes at mid-night 18 October 2024. Registration for Level 2 close 15 November. Either will close once the slots are filled, even if before these dates. There are limited slots for Level 2.
What is the cost of each level?

Level 1 costs N3m but currently selling at N1.5m. Level 2 costs N5m but currently selling at N3m. Both prices will revert to the original costs from October 14 for Level 1 and October 28 for Level 2, provided slots are still available.
What happens at the group stage?

A win is 3 points. A draw is 1 point each. However, there will be penalty kicks after every group stage game, irrespective of the result. Whoever wins the penalty gets 1 point. That means a team can get a maximum of 4 points from a game.
